Hi, I’m Zoe — the person behind Far & Local.

I started this site because I’ve always felt that many travel guides only show the “must-see” version of a place. The famous landmarks, the perfect photo spots, the same recommended routes. But the trips I remember most are usually the quieter moments: a local breakfast shop, a neighborhood street at night, or a place that wasn’t even on my original itinerary.

Far & Local is where I share my personal travel experiences, honest recommendations, and routes that feel a little more real and local — especially across China and Asia. Some places are popular, some are underrated, and some are simply places I enjoyed more than I expected.

I’m not trying to show the “perfect” way to travel. I just hope this site helps you travel a little deeper, slower, and beyond the highlights.
